Bestiary

The custom creatures - the three chains, and the bosses at the end of each.

What lives out there

Most of what you fight is a vanilla mob with a level. But the regions also have custom creatures — hand-built models on top of ordinary mobs, in five stages that get bigger and worse as you go.

Chain Region Stage 1 Stage 5
Desert Sunstorm Desert Desert Ghoul The Pharaoh
Frozen Frostpeak Range Frost Wraith Bigfoot
Ocean Mistvale Coast Siren Jörmungandr

Each chain runs five stages, and the last stage of each is the region's hidden boss. The region bosses — Sandworm, Yeti, Leviathan — sit alongside their chain rather than at the end of it.

How they behave

Region bosses

REGION 30-minute timer

Part of the furniture. A hologram at each one's home shows its name and a countdown, so you always know whether it is worth walking out there. They respawn on a fixed timer.

Hidden bosses

HIDDEN rolled once a minute

Not on a schedule. After a respawn window, one roll a minute, and it usually fails — so you walk into one rather than farm it. Their holograms show no countdown on purpose: a clock would promise a spawn that is not coming.

Roaming creatures

ROAMER always out there

Nine large creatures wander the regions. They are dangerous, they fight back, and they are the reason a quiet walk can turn into something else. They do not count as boss kills.

Fighting something bigger than you

  • They hit for their level's damage, which scales the same way everything else does. A top-end boss is tuned for a group.
  • The hitbox is the mob underneath the model. A scaled-up boss is scaled up everywhere, including what you can actually hit.
  • They stay in their region. If you are over-levelled and you walk in, you will win.
  • Boss kills count on the town board. See Leaderboards and holograms.

A note on the models

The creatures are custom-built, and they animate — walking, idle, attacking, and a roar when a boss engages. None of that costs you anything: the models arrive with the server's resource pack, and a Bedrock client sees them through the Bedrock pack.
