Kits
What /kit gives you, which kits your rank unlocks, and the claim book.
Opening the kit menu
/kit opens the kit menu. /kits does the same thing — both work, and they are the same menu.
Kits generally have a cooldown, which the server enforces whether or not the menu was able to show you the timer. If a button looks claimable and the kit does not arrive, that is a cooldown, not a broken button.
The kits
| Kit | Who gets it | Roughly what it is |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Everyone | Tools, food, and the claim book |
| Tools | Everyone | A working set of tools |
| Food | Everyone | Enough to stop you starving |
| PvP | Everyone | A basic combat set |
| Claim | Everyone | The land-claim tools and the how-to book |
| Knight / Lord / Duke / King / Paladin | The matching rank | Rank gear, scaled to the rank |
Rank kits follow the LuckPerms ladder, so a kit unlocks with the rank it is named after and stays unlocked while you hold it. The paid ranks each have their own kit alongside the free ones.
The claim kit, and a confession
The Claim kit is a stick, a golden shovel and a written book. It is a duplicate. The server already hands every player that same book by itself about thirty seconds after they first join, and /claimbook asks for another copy on demand.
So if you already have the book, the kit gives you a second one. That is deliberate redundancy rather than a mistake: the kit is where a player looks for it.
The golden shovel must stay plain. The claim tool is identified by what it is, not by its name, so a renamed shovel stops working as a claim tool. That is why the one in the kit has no fancy name on it.
A note on gear and levels
Items from a rank kit carry their provenance with them: a netherite piece from a kit unlocks earlier than one you smithed yourself, but it is still gated. See Classes for the three source tiers.
Pulling a diamond from a kit at Lv 5 is not a waste — it is yours to keep, and it switches on when you reach the level.
