Waypoints and travel
Seven fast-travel points, one per region, unlocked by reaching the region's level and talking to the NPC.
Seven points, one per region
Each Survival1 region has a waypoint NPC. Talk to one and it unlocks that waypoint, if your class level reaches the region's band. That is the whole unlock rule: the level gate and the NPC are two halves of the same thing.
Once a waypoint is unlocked, travel between any two unlocked waypoints is free — from any waypoint NPC on the map.
| Waypoint | Region | Unlocks at |
|---|---|---|
| Aurel Coast | Aurel Coast | Lv 1 |
| Verdant Plains | Verdant Plains | Lv 5 |
| Sunstorm Desert | Sunstorm Desert | Lv 10 |
| Evergreen Wilds | Evergreen Wilds | Lv 15 |
| Ashen Expanse | Ashen Expanse | Lv 20 |
| Frostpeak Range | Frostpeak Range | Lv 30 |
| Mistvale Coast | Mistvale Coast | Lv 40 |
The level used is your best class level — the highest of the classes you own. Levelling a second class to 40 gives you the Mistvale waypoint even if your first class is still at 12.
/waypoint
The menu lists every waypoint with its state:
- unlocked — travel there
- locked — you have not reached its level yet
- unplaced — see below
Or type /waypoint tp to travel straight there.
A word on "unplaced"
Waypoint locations are set by standing somewhere and recording it — they are not coordinates typed into a file. A waypoint with no location recorded is a real state, and the menu says so rather than silently failing.
If a waypoint shows as unplaced, its NPC has not been put down yet. Tell us which one, and it will be placed.
The NPCs do two jobs
Each waypoint NPC unlocks its waypoint and opens the travel menu, so the loop is always the same: walk to an NPC, get the waypoint, never walk there again.
