Trading
Sneak and right-click a player to trade, face to face, with no tax.
How to trade
Sneak and right-click another player. They get an invitation in chat with Accept and Deny buttons. Accept, and you both get a trade window.
There is no /trade command to remember — the gesture is the command.
The window
Both players see a 54-slot window showing both offers side by side. You put items in your half; they put items in theirs. Nothing moves until both of you confirm.
Confirmation is the green wool button, clicked twice:
- First click arms your side.
- Second click confirms.
Both players must have confirmed before anything changes hands. If either side changes what they are offering, both confirmations reset — you have to look at the new offer and agree to it again.
That is the anti-scam rule: nobody can swap a diamond for dirt after you have agreed.
Why trade here instead of the auction house
There is no tax. The auction house takes 10% of a sale; a direct trade costs nothing. For a big sale that is the difference between $90,000 and $100,000.
The trade-off is that both of you have to be online and standing next to each other.
If you go offline mid-trade
The offer is held in memory, so a restart or a disconnect mid-trade loses the offered items. That is the safe direction, and it is deliberate: saving a half-finished trade and then completing it is exactly how an item gets duplicated.
Items already delivered to you by a completed trade are yours. If you were offline when something was sent to you, the server keeps it for you.
The rules around it
- No real-world trading. Items, coins and ranks may not be sold for money outside the store.
- No scamming by misdirection. Swapping items after a confirm is not possible; lying about what an item does in chat is a different problem, and is covered by the general rules in Rules and building.
